iTunes Editors' Notes

When two creative individuals come together to work, the results can be either inspired or implosive. The singular singer/songwriter/pianist/arranger Regina Spektor collaborated with not one but four different producers on her fifth studio album, Far, and the result fortifies the Russian-American’s already impressive body of work. Traveling Wilbury Jeff Lynne E.L.O., Paul McCartney and David Kahne Sugar Ray, Matthew Sweet all worked with Spektor, who delves largely into the grand theme of religion. “Laughing With,” the haunting lead-off single, might have its analog in the saying “there are no atheists in foxholes.” “The Calculation” is pure joy, while “Blue Lips” evolves from a cinematically reflective introduction to an actively explorative cadence.

Isnt she amazing

I've being hanging out for this one, knowing she produced it with several amazing international producers. I fell in love with her when a friend first introduced me to her last album "Begin to Hope" I couldnt get enough of that cd. My husband even played it over and over. Its still the cd we go back to when we are in the car. So on purchasing this album, theres always the thought that the next cd wont be as good, but let me just say I love it. She has kept to singing funny lyrics and odd bits in her songs for eg...än old stick of juicy fruit". Its a great album that I loved from the start, which is rare usually an album needs a few listens, but this one is a first time winner.. Buy it if you love Regina's "Begin to Hope"you wont regret it!!

W.O.W

this album is quite amazing. at first you only like a few select songs and don't like the rest but then as things come togewther you start to learn and love all of the songs and can't stop listening to the album. truly fabulous and one of my favourite artists he voice is amazing and so W.O.W the best albums are the ones that you learn to love gradually over time and appreciate how good the music actually is. and that basically sums up this album!

Different, but good all the same.

Far shows a more soft side of Regina's talent and has a consistent rhythm and beat. Begin to Hope showed a more raw sound of the piano and voice and had the beat changing though out the song. These albums are entirely different but still an awesome album. My favourite would be One More Time WIth Feeling or Dance Anthem of The 80's.

A veteran of New York's anti-folk scene, songwriter Regina Spektor makes quirky, highly eclectic, but always personal music. Born and raised in Moscow until age nine, Spektor listened to her father's bootleg tapes of Western pop and rock as a young child and also learned to play piano. She and her family moved from Russia to the Bronx, where she was immersed in American culture (at the time, hers was the first Russian family in the borough in 20 years). Eventually, Spektor and her family became part...
