Album Review

Yes, it's still simple Stock-Aitken-Waterman dance-pop, but Rhythm of Love is leaps and bounds more mature than Kylie's first two releases. The songwriting is stronger, the production dynamic, and Kylie seems more confident vocally. And while Kylie and Enjoy Yourself were collections of songs to back up singles, this is a more complete album, with many of the tracks — "Things Can Only Get Better" a prime example — single worthy. Definitely her best work from the Stock-Aitken-Waterman era.

Great 90s dance/pop - Kylie starts getting sexy

Our Kylie starts to grow up with her ROL album and starts co-writing songs and heating up her videos! Includes one of her signature tunes the dance floor filler Better The Devil You Know. Also great dance tracks are Step Back in Time, What Do I Have to Do? the 7" mix which is GREAT and the DNA Mix of Shocked, which is kind of sad as the original 7minute LP mix would be great to have. Love the beautiful The World Still Turns, the funky One-Boy Girl which has a bit of pop/rap included, it's one of my fav tracks, the 'message' song Things Can Only Get Better & the track some say written about Michael H, 'Count The Days'. You gotta have the album for you K-collection!

Featuring hit after hit of 1990's dancefloor fillers. Brilliantly penned Minogue tracks as well as Stock, Aitken and Waterman at their best. What Do I Have To Do...? Buy this album! :-)

On the one hand, in the pop music arena, worldbeaters such as Kylie Minogue are few and far between. Singers and performers of her stature and popularity rarely maintain their power for as long as she has. Her streaks of number one singles in both Australia and the U.K. are nearly insurmountable. And yet, on the other hand, her inability to really crack open the American pop market over the course of her career is a story that is heard all too often from groups hailing from nations as pop powerful...
