iTunes Review

Paolo Nutini’s voice is a wondrous instrument, a soulful set of Scottish pipes with a devastating grain—as capable of expressing deep spiritual yearning (“Last Request”) as giddy happiness (“New Shoes”) or amorous begging (“Jenny Don’t Be Hasty”). On this debut album, his attention has been diverted by the breakup of a long-term relationship, so the songs tend toward slow, mournful meditations on love and the unpleasant aftermath (“Rewind”, “White Lies”), all delivered with deep hurt in that Al Green-ish purr.

Loving Me Loving Paolo

This album has a mix of some really catchy tunes and some really relaxing ones also. I love it. He's an amazing singer with a great face to match. Perfect to put on in almost any daytime setting and some night time settings too. I put in on at a BBQ the other night and everyone loved it!

Sleeper of 2006

This album in my books is the best album of 2006. Yes, as previously suggested, Paoll has a great voice but more importantly this album is full of very well written tracks and has a great mix of ballads and up tempo tracks. Excellent, excellent CD.
