Classic album

I love this album but $17 for a 25yo album. Really?

One of the best OZ bands with one of the best albums !

After big hit's from their 1st & 2nd album's, Icehouse - well, Iva Davies got a more stable band lineup of top muso's to not only record with but play live with, It's clear Davies wanted to get rid of his OZ new wave David Bowie persona'( it is uncanny how much he sound's & looks like a young Bowie,) The next 2 albums showed Icehouse growing into a modern rock-pop band, sadly both albums did not have the big hits but from hard work on the tough Aussie pub tours( even AC/DC found it a hard slog, writing the song "Highway To Hell" about the evil's of playing in OZ pub's) Icehouse always had a following when the band used to be called Flowers, But now more & more people were coming to their shows.
Icehouse then came out with one of the best albums of the 80's "Man Of Colours" has an amazing 5 hit singles, infact there is not one filler or dud track on this classic, also with this remaster you get the bonus top hit "Touch The Fire" which was on a gratest hits album released just after the "Colours" album, Davies had become a great rock singer because of this album, also John Oates from Hall & Oates joined the band for this album providing BIG backing vocals & background guitars, Oates also wrote the huge hit "Electric Blue" with Davies, Buy the album you'll love it!

Formed: 1980 in Sydney, Australia

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '80s, '90s, '00s, '10s

Though it has had varying personnel, Icehouse was essentially a vehicle for the work of Australian Iva Davies. Davies formed the first version of the band under the name Flowers in 1980 and began scoring hits in Australia with the group's first single, "Can't Help Myself." (Icehouse was the name of Flowers' first album, but the group changed its name as it went international, to avoid conflicts with another band.) They first reached the U.S. charts in 1981 with "We Can Get Together"...
