Mark Seymour and the undertow

This CD by Mark Seymour continues to showcase just how much talent we all know he has. From the great song writing & story telling, to the different vocal styles. From the soft ballad style studio refined songs, to the gutsy raw sounds of some tracks that make them almost sound live.
My favourite tracks: 2,5,6 & 9.
Mark Seymour is fast becoming Australia's version of Bob Dylan, that's if he isn't already that!
Great songs!

There is no doubt about the talent of Mark Seymour, however I am a little dissapointed with this album which has been a departure from usual style - a little too much country/folk music influence for me....... Castlemaine is a great song and should sit right up there with some of his best works - it is the stand out track on the album for me.

Seymour's songwriting & story-crafting continues to mature ('Little Bridges' & 'Cry in the Rain'), he can still crank out a great track like 'Castlemaine'. Thanks Mark, love your work.

On King Without a Clue, however, Seymour managed to show a different side to himself, including elements of...
