Dark pop music for dark times

This band have made the first complete album of 2009. OK--it borrows off of joy division, editors, the killers, the cure, depeche mode, but why wouldn't you? they are all incredibly wonderful bands!! and yes it's a bit on the dark side, but in a strange way white lies have made music that is far more uplifting music than many other bands cluttering the charts....and why? becuase the music has emotion and soul. but don't enjoy too much now......

Finally it's out (4.5 stars)

I've waited for this since I first heard 'Death' and it's awesome, best album of the year so far with the possible exception of Fever Ray.

Touching, depressing, exciting, uplifting.
This album takes all of your emotions, mashes them together and shoves them in your face.
Stand out tracks like "from the stars", "unfinished business" and E.S.T tell complex stories
that we can all strangely understand and relate to.
I highly recommend this album to all lovers of music.
We will be seeing this album in many best of collections to come.

While attending school in West London, singer/guitarist Harry McVeigh, bassist/lyricist Charles Cave, and drummer/keyboardist Jack Lawrence-Brown formed the group...
