Welcome to the life of Electra Heart

Marina is back thank dear god!! And people must know this is not a sellout album. It is not portraying Marina either. It is waaaayy more smarter than that. Electra Heart is a character or several archetypes of Marina's antithesis, and is NOT an alter ego. Anyway, even without knowing this, Electra Heart is a great Pop Album with something for everyone! Theres definatly the Marina quirks we all know and love from her first album "The Family Jewels", but there are new dancy beats and still slow melodic tunes that accompany this beautiful voice. I'm a crazy fangirl (but actually a guy) of Marina, and I love her! So happy Electra Heart is FINALLY out in Australia! BUY ELECTRA HEART OR WE WILL GET THE HOMEWRECKER ONTO YOU. No joke.

This album is Marina's finest. It's full of songs about love, but they're not about what you'd think. They're about the lies, deception and heartache of love. It also captures Marina's concept of ''Electra Heart" which embodies the complete opposite of what Marina is and what she doesn't aspire to be. For example, ''The Archetypes'' which emphasises the idea of spoilt, selfish, beauty queens ''Su-Barbie-A", ''Teen Idles'', ''The Primadonna'' and ''Homewrecker''.This album is different from Family Jewels but in a good way. Marina is a very fascinating woman, she never ceases to surprise and amaze me. :) So go buy it!!

little boring... unique voice

Marina and the Diamonds, really just Marina Diamandis, was born in 1986 to Welsh and Greek parents, although she has often claimed to be from Ancient Greece. After dropping out of four different music courses at four different universities, she decided to make her own way in music, and began writing left-field pop songs. Early on, she claimed that her inspirations were Britney Spears and Gwen Stefani -- who she often covered at live gigs -- but her songs have a soulful edge pointing to a deeper source...
