14 Songs, 51 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

By dropping the needle on classic rock cuts and forgotten ‘70s pop confections, Guardians of the Galaxy flipped the conventional thinking of soundtracks on its head. The blockbuster continues this fine tradition on the sequel, pulling from a dusty crate of one-hit wonders and FM rock. Vol. 2 bounces along with ELO (“Mr. Blue Sky”), glam (“Fox on the Run”), power pop (“Surrender”), and more than one guilty pleasure (“Brandy (You’re a Fine Girl)”).

Awesome sound track so excited for the movie

Emily 30h

loving the sound track so far, songs like fox on the run is really good but the track does have a little bit of a country feel which I wish there was a more pop sound or similar to the old soundtrack, but overall really happy with it and excited for the movie

Niche retro-cool

Just like the Guardian's of the Galaxy Soundtrack Vol. 1, this soundtrack to the follow up movie brings with it an instant feeling of nostalgia. I'm hooked on a feeling, again.

Nope.

It flipped the conventional thinking of soundtracks on its head!? Forgotten tracks?

Mebbe if you're 12, don't listen to FM radio or watch movies.
