Customer Reviews

It has been a long time and Chelsea Grin has finally released their first album. The album definitely sounded different to their EP. Even the vocals sounds different. I liked the vocals and the drumming is also better but what annoyed me was the guitars. They have this sort of plain feel to them in most of the songs. In some songs such as the intro sweep in The Human Conidition they do a good job but most of the time it sounds boring compared to the EP guitars, as the guitars on the EP had a much darker and interesing feel.
This album obviously sounds a bit heavier because the quality is better but I found it a bit boring and repetitive compared to the EP. I have pointed out all the bad points but I did like the album. Cast from Perfection and The Human Condition were good songs. I liked the instrumental Elysium but Wasteland was a bit repetitive; it was like they were just trying to get an extra song on the album. The new Cheyne Stokes and Recreant were really good too but they did seem a bit slow. Nice album though and I recommend you don't go past it and buy at least a few songs from it.

This album is sick would buy it 3 times and it wouldn't be a waste of my moneys

The band dealt with some lineup changes the following year,...
