Album Review

There is no shortage of compilations by Dúo Dinámico, but this three-CD/DVD budget set is certainly one of the most generous. All in all, it contains 75 songs from El Dúo's heyday in the 1960s, including all of their greatest hits from the period, such as "Quisiera Ser," "Amor de Verano," "Quince Años Tiene Mi Amor," "Bailando el Twist," and "Perdóname," plus a DVD with live performances and the documentary Las Primeras Estrellas: El Dúo Dinámico. It can't be deemed a comprehensive anthology, however, because it doesn't include any of the material El Dúo released under the Manolo y Ramón moniker, or after their comeback in the 1980s — most notably the worldwide hit "Resistiré."
