Customer Reviews

This is damaging the AFL

I understand that the AFL negotiates a suite of deals, of which this app is only one. I don't think the AFL understands how with the change in the app this year they are screwing themselves over.
I subscribed for the year, and only afterwards did I realize that it doesn't show the games full screen on my iPad, by contrast with last year. I've pretty much stopped following the AFL. Watch the occasional free to air game, but since I don't waste my time peering at part of the screen any more, I'm not that engaged. Haven't been to a single live game this year. Can't even be bothered with footy tipping now.
Suddenly discovered these other sports out there. Soccer, basketball, and dare I say it, Netflix.
The app is a fail, now, and I'll never subscribe to it again. Even if it goes full screen, they've simply lost my attention. Your marketing people, or strategic planning staff have let you down on this one.

Live streaming

This app is full of information and great news about the teams players and everything afl so thats great.

How ever when you have a paid subscription to the live app and it has constant issues with live streaming in my book thats a massive fail, more then three times this year the whole app has crashed and not aloud viewing of almost entire games and once it had lost the entire 2017 premiership season including fixtures and took over two hours to fix.

But since i refuse to pay for foxtel im stuck paying for this sub par service only good thing that came from it was a joint club membership.

2017 is a big step backward from 2016

The 2016 version of this app was pretty good. Everything was easy to find. The 2017 app is very difficult to navigate and find your way around. Having more stats is great. It sometimes doesn't refresh. I know this stuff can be hard to get right so don't want to get too down on the UX designers et al but hopefully there is some tweaks in the wings (plus less content panels/ads).
