ABC

I am an information junkie, and that is why I love the ABC. I like full independent reporting on as many items of interest as possible, excluding trivia such as gossip about so called "heroes". In my world, heroes are people who have risked their lives and/or reputations to make the world of many a safer, fairer and more prosperous one.

I like the way I can enter different parts of the ABC according to interests and tastes.

My contribution now is to ask you whether you might want to do more reporting on issues in our Asia region; I believe that our politicians need more information about how our near neighbours think, and therefore they need more input about Asian news that is easily accessible. Why do we still hear so much about what happens in America and Britain, and so little about what happens in Asia? More balance, please.

Finally, please keep the ABC independent. Don't let ANYONE take away journalists' right to report without fear, favour or manipulation by outside forces. The future of our nation lies in being fully informed, and for its citizens/readers of ABC news to be treated with respect.

Thank you for this opportunity to make my own contribution.

Great, daily read

We are living in Asia, so getting regular news of what's happening at home can be difficult. The ABC app is the solution. A quick read every day, gives us world, national updates, in a good balance of informative but not exhaustive. I love the science, technology and health updates, as a great way to keep up with changes in these fields. The analysis and opinion section is brilliant for an overview of more complex problems and trends. Also brilliant because there is no charge for the service.

Rate ABC App

Generally find this app good but would appreciate knowing that the content is proofed as the grammatical errors and typos can become frustrating when continued through a single story. While not leaning Left or Right I would like to see the facts reported more, with less opinion and attention-grabbing headlines. Really do not want to see the ABC online content end up like a weekend tabloid. Overall good, but room for improvement. I'm perhaps a bit old fashioned but believe that journalists are not there to create the story, but rather to inform us of the facts so that we can form our own opinion based on evidence.
