Way too many bugs

At first this looks really good, but my goodness there are a lot of problems actually using it.

Okay, so they say they’ve fixed a bug where it repeatedly asks about notifications. That just leaves the women’s singles draw not loading half the time, the inability to backtrack to the draw after clicking on an individual player, and probably a bunch of others I can’t remember right now or haven’t discovered yet.

It’s just not good enough in this day and age for one of the world’s major sporting events to not test the functionality properly before the event begins. I shouldn’t have to tiptoe around, hesitating about the order that I press things in case I break something and have to start again.

Wish I could apply zero stars on AO18 app

Why take a top app and destroy it. AO app in the past was the benchmark for the other GS’s. AO18 is a load of rubbish. I have given up. As a sw tester myself this doesn’t appear to have had any stress testing or user testing. The bugs are numerous. It is impossible to get scores on resulted games either through results or schedule. Once following day schedules are out even more buggy. Times and players have been listed incorrectly. An absolute waste of time. Surely after two full active tennis days, not to mention qualifying, your developers have got fixes for it. Seems to be elusive though. Perhaps pull the pin, reskin the old AO17 app with the new colors, 18 data and get it back in the app stores so we have something to use before the tournament is over.

- app data/network errors all the time!
- schedule view, scores, draws etc all of these have cards so large you can only see 1 maybe 2 matches before scrolling.
- filters only allow you to filter by a particular court e.g rod laver. Should be able to filter to show main courts I.e RLA, HA, and MCA. Should also be able to filter by favourite players
- general layout has too many clicks to do things. Bottom tab should be: (1) match centre with scores, (2) A schedule button with schedules and option to switch to draw, (3) my ao, (4) news and media. More can move to the top right in a hamburger menu.
- advertising is needed to maintain the app generate revenue... but if it takes up significant portions of the screen it is in poor taste. The size of the ad frames need to be much smaller.
