BeanCounter is a powerful yet easy to use professional bookkeeping, time tracking, and invoicing application. It features double-entry accounting, multiple currency support, and a simple one window user interface. Manage accounts, clients, projects, merchants, and bills for an unlimited number of businesses. Stay on top of your business with detailed reports and graphs.

Add new transactions with support for nine types of custom fields and file attachments. Attach photos, scans, voice memos, and files such as receipts, invoices, and other documents to each transaction. Define custom accounting periods and automatically clear down nominal accounts. BeanCounter supports budgets, filters, batch transaction editing, autofill, and split/repeat transactions. Import and export transactions to a variety of file formats.

Track project tasks and expenses for clients. Tasks may be timed (using the included time tracker) or non-timed. Generate customized estimates and invoices itemizing tasks and expenses. Choose from five invoice layouts or design your own custom layout. Keep track of outstanding invoice balances and manage incoming payments.

Does it all

I love this app. It’s so simple, which makes it easy to use, and yet it covers EVERYTHING. I can even use it for multiple businesses. The ability to scan and attach receipts to transactions is also wonderful.

My only suggestion is perhaps a splash of colour for the transactions.

For the record, I spent 3 hours(!) this morning scrutinising every expense-related app in the app store as well as a few online services before choosing this app. More than once I was on the verge of buying some of the more deceptively colourful apps. I am glad I actually studied all the screenshots and made the effort to read the full descriptions as these apps are not cheap.

Simple and straightforward

My small business was outgrowing Spreadsheets and needed a new solution. I tried all kinds of cloud accounting software packages and had to learn how they worked, costing lots of time and a monthly fee.

Beancounter just did all the things I needed it to without the clutter of modules intended for bigger businesses. I'm a sole trader and have no need for alot of what those kind of packages offer.

Best of all Beancounter works super quick because it saves information locally, not on a some cloud server that takes ages to update your information, or a million steps just to log an invoice.

Hats off to Tidal Pool Software. Keep improving it, and above all keep it simple and effective. You rock!

New User - So far so good

Have just installed this application for use for my small business and SMSF account management. Relatively easy to use and the ability to import CSV files from banks made the setup process more streamlined and straight forward.

Would like to see future releases be able to handle GST reporting if possible.
