This app is awful

I never review apps, this is my first time ever. I just automatically assume they’ll work okay and if they don’t whatever no big deal it’s normally not too much of an inconvenience. I feel this way about mygov apps which are rather annoying but deliver the job they’re meant to. THIS APP HOWEVER, It is absolute garbage. It’s enough to make me go else where for photos. If you select an image, it automatically rotates your app screen even if you have the rotate lock on. Then when you go back because the imagine you selected doesn’t work for a product, say a mug for example because they wrap all awkwardly, it screws the whole app up and you have to close it and restart it. So inconvenient. I’ve tried 7 times to make a friggin mug. I JUST WANT A MUG BIG W.

Good app with room for improvement

I recently purchased from the app and it was easy to do, except a few things would make it and the process better.

1. Ability to see the details (picture used item purchased) of the order in the “Orders” section. I purchased something twice because I couldn’t remember if I previously purchased it.

2. The quality of photos should be easier to see/understand. They look just fine on the phone but still allows them to be selected even though the quality will be bad and you have to start all over. Can be really frustrating.

3. When the update of the order says received by store and ready for pick up, it’s not exactly true. You then need to wait for an email from the store before picking up. Took me 2 attempts to pick up my order. The app should be real time for BIGW not Fuji status because as a customer how do we know we are waiting for email as well. I’m sure you could save the email time if you’re app was up dated with BIGW processing so we would know it was ready in store for pick up and not waste multiple trips.

4. Ability to let the store know you’re on your way so they can have the item ready and not go and hunt for it out back while we wait at the counter with a queue of people behind us groaning because it takes so long. Like the direct to boot click and collect.

Waste of time and no support for app

I’ve used Big W online photos for years on my computer make calendars and photo books and thought I would give the App a try as it was easier to add photos from my phone. The app itself was not very user friendly but I persisted and spent hours making a photo book only to get to the processing and payment stage for it to crash. The page never redirects to PayPal which is the only way you can make payment. When I log into my account on my computer there’s no record of my book in my shopping cart so obviously the two don’t link up. My photo book is still in the cart on my app redirecting to PayPal after 3 days. Don’t bother trying to find contact details for support as the only thing I found was an online form to fill in and “someone will get back to me soon”. I’m not holding my breath. What a complete waste of time this was. I will never use this app or the Big online photo shop again. The lack of support for loyal customers is astounding. Don’t bother.
