Accurate but boring user interface
I am a person that checks the weather app everyday. I recently moved from an app that shut down. The app used to previously source data from BOM and the user interface (UI) was awesome!
I downloaded BOM as I realised there would be no issues with getting accurate weather as it is the main source in Australia. The UI of the app is extremely boring and I don’t feel like checking the app at all. Also, it doesn’t track and display the weather for the current suburb. I have to manually click it every time I move from one place to another.
Feedback to the developers - I would suggest you review the overall design and the UI to make the app easy and fun to navigate. Maybe charge a one time fee but give us a great app as your weather data is already fantastic!
This app doesn't work
I'd luv to say this was a great app but it doesn't work at all. Like some reviewers below have said whenever you try to do anything with it an error message pops up to say "There was a problem loading the weather. Your device is online but cannot fetch data from the Bureau at this time". If you tap the postcode field (if you're lucky enough to get the front page of the app to load) then an error message pops up before you can even type in the postcode. The app was updated recently but the all that was updated was a new looking error message! I've had the same problem with the app when in Australia or overseas. I've contacted the developer and had no reply. Please fix this app because I'd really like to support it but for now I'll stick with Willy Weather.
Design over function - UI too hard to decipher
Are used to absolutely love this app but it’s so hard to read - they have clearly prioritised artistic design elements over giving the user a simple, quick, easy interface where they can see the weather at a glance and understand it. Make the important bits of information big and clear, make your pictures or icons simpler and stop making us scroll through so far to find out about the weather for the next day or the next week. Above all, remember what you were trying to give us - we just want to know quickly and easily what the weather is going to be like today, tomorrow, the rest of the week - we are not here to look at pretty pictures, we have Instagram for that. Function over design, please.
