Over 21 million people have signed up for Bumble to start building valuable relationships, finding friends, and making empowered connections.

Creating new connections has never been easier. Bumble is working to lift the stigma of online dating by employing unprecedented standards for respectful behavior. Because of this relentless dedication, millions of people are using Bumble to build valuable relationships every single day.

Bumble is at the forefront of matchmaking technology by providing an app that allows users to foster more than just romantic connections. The industry-leading app empowers users to swipe through potential connections across three different modes:

Bumble: On Bumble, women make the first move. We’ve changed the archaic rules of the dating game so that you can form meaningful relationships in a respectful way.
Bumble BFF: Life is better with friends. Whether you’re new to a city or looking to expand your circle, Bumble BFF is the easiest way to make new friends.
Bumble Bizz: Now we’re in business. Use Bumble Bizz to network, find mentors, and create new career opportunities.

Bumble is the first app of its kind to bring dating, friend-finding, and career-building into a single social networking platform.

At Bumble, women make the first move. In heterosexual matches, the woman has 24 hours to make the first move and the man has 24 hours to respond. In same-sex matches, either person has 24 hours to make the first move, while the other individual has 24 hours to respond, or else, the connection expires. By prompting our users to be bold and make the first move we’ve seen over 3 billion messages sent to date.

Promising app, but currently data and battery hungry

Dr. Pigeon

Bumble’s core UX design and swipe mechanics are an improvement on platforms like Tinder and Happn, and better for large phone screens. However, the shake to undo is cumbersome and undermines the great swipe mechanics. Editing your info is very clunky — IMO Tinder currently has the cleanest, most functional profile editing section. The “ladies go first” concept is great, however a “super like” style feature would be welcomed — a one or two hour recharge, like the undo feature, would be great.

I have found some problems with the current build; it is a little buggy, the app often opens without loading images and takes several reboots to remedy. Battery consumption is also a problem, over a few days Bumble accounted for 15% of battery usage (2.3hrs on screen/1.2hrs background), while Tinder only used 12% (2.6hrs on screen/2min background) and Happn 8% (2hrs on screen/48min background) — what’s concerning about this is why it’s working so much in the background. However the biggest issue is mobile data usage — Bumble ate a whopping 400mb while Tinder used 52mb and Happn used 70mb for roughly the same usage — which means you cannot use this app regularly outside of WiFi.

Otherwise it’s a promising app and look forward to these issues fixed.

No problems complaints just one small issue

Unfortunately the app seems unable to pin point my location location isn’t working it keeps saying “we are having determining your location” then there’s a button that says “try resending your location” and when I do it either works for a bit (displays matches) but then if I go to click on a profile or sometimes try to swipe to see the next profile and it comes up with the whole “try resending your location” bit which is frustrating because it worked perfectly when I re downloaded it again to give the app another go :), and now this and I don’t mean to sound rude but even though I’m no longer living in the city and now living out on a property I still don’t don’t have this problem with pof or even tinder if you could please look into this that would be great as I’d like to still continue to use this app ps my older sister also has this app and is having the exact same problem, please help ! Thanks !

Glitchy notifications & 24hrs is too short

This app is great in premise and has worked great in past use but lately has been glitchy AF. I have all notifications switched on, but I regularly find that the badge app icon does NOT indicate that matches are available! I don't often read my notification centre alerts and will only see these days s later when clearing them up. I do not receive alerts notifying that matches are about to expire...ridiculous. Fix this!
Life is busy and if I don't get notified adequately of a match in the first place, and then don't get warned it's about to expire, this renders pretty much all my matches moot! 24hr is an incredibly short timeframe when factoring the above in. Please extend to 48 hours. Thanks
