Good fun logic and programming game
As a software developer I enjoy these types of puzzles and Cargo-Bot is a polished example of the genre.
One mild quibble is the optimal (three star) solution is the one with the least amount of instructions but often these are infinite loops. The sequence stops when the palettes are in the target position so the program doesn't really run forever but as a developer I find it just slightly uncomfortable submitting solutions like this, rather than solutions with a definite ending. Anyhow, that's just me :) I'm sure others will have no such quirks.
As a free app it really is a must-have for any person who enjoys a logic challenge.
Interestingly, the app is an advertisement in itself for the author's programming environment, Codea. The app proclaims it was developed entirely on an iPad using Codea.
This is cool
I've had this game on my ipad for a very long time, but never got around to playing it until a couple of days ago.
It is surprisingly fun, even more so considering it was coded on an ipad. I'm looking forward to playing through more levels.
Great puzzler - the smallest best answers are recursive (ie. they call themselves). This is mighty hard to visualise.
On a "Real" computer, you would have a STACK to help you keep track of recursion. Some form of stack would be nice - along with a way of saving and loading different solutions (when modifying an old solution to solve a new puzzle).
