Usable... barely

This app usable. I've used it occasionally to check balances, transfer to other people and make payments to bills etc. That said, it has many bugs and is extremely slow. Requires lots of patience to use. Their online site isn't much better, so I wasn't expecting much from this app in the first place. I don't do a lot of banking on the app and with their low international transaction fees and no monthly account keeping I've been putting up with the barely usable app. That said, here are Some of the frustrating bugs/things which if you can get used to or be patient with then the app is usable if you aren't doing most or a lot of banking on the app.

•The notification inbox disappears – there will be a notification come in, and a numbered badge on the launch icon, but the inbox is not in the side drawer. One way I found to make the inbox reappear is to go to settings>push notifications and the. When I go back to home screen and side drawer it is back.
•Whenever I load the app, it has to do an update which takes anywhere from a few seconds to minute. Not a deal breaker but frustrating and annoying. Why does this happen all the time?
•When you go between screens it flashes random screens while loading. It's really confusing and seems like I may have pressed the wrong button or gone to the wrong place.
•There are way too many steps to get most things done.
•The app is slow and unresponsive.

Very basic not many features & poor functionality

Compared to my other bank apps this is very basic with little or no features or functionality.
I’ve provided feedback numerous times & the bank keep asking for more feedback but clearly chooses to ignore it.
Also the customer service is very average - not rude but not that friendly or helpful. They really only want to do the absolute minimum & I have to be very pushy & persistence (unfortunately) to receive the standard of customer service I am use to from other financial institutions.
The app needs the following improvements:
Live chat via the app (preferably 24 hrs)
Temporarily lock any card (not just credit card) from the app.
More details about each transaction (especially credit card)
PayID should be available by now. Many other Australian financial institutions have this available , but Citibank arrogantly dismisses my Enquiries about when this will be available- let alone in the app.
Numerous performances improvements: app frequently crashes, takes a long time to load & touchID often will not work & have to manually enter password.
If you genuinely want to improve the app then I suggest take feedback on board otherwise it’s called rhetoric.

Login completely broken. The quality of the app is pathetic. The usability is pathetic. Touch ID randomly disables itself, you can’t paste in passwords from a password manager app, you can’t even switch between apps while entering your password, it clears what you have already entered each time you switch. So now I have to get another device view my 20+ random character/number/symbol password and type it in without switching apps. Stop crippling your usability while thinking you are making your app more secure. You are actually making it less secure by doing these things. You need to fire the person making these stupid “security” decisions because they are wrong. Your one star rating says it all and you need to start listening to your customers. I use about six different banking apps, citibank is the worst by far.
