Good quality matches

CMB has consistently provided great quality and real engaged people on the app. The profiles are great, well sourced and verified, the matches at 12pm I really like that, the overall design of the app is tidy and perfect. For the average man, I’ve found there is a low chance of ever getting a conversation going even if you initiate. The limited amount of likes does encourage you to tap like for everyone (just to even get a match), then be ignored on chat later. I have to say, for the conversations that do go well, they are worth it. I’ve met up with someone I am seeing now and I am very grateful to the team at CMB. I do believe, this is the best app for dating out there.

Fraudulent App

They create fake profiles to keep you in the app. I paused my account, but next day got a like (fake), so I went back into the app. This time in the Discover section (putting filters) the profiles seemed higher quality. When I tried to like one of these profiles, it said I had to unpause my account first - after clicking ok, my account unpaused, it appeared to try to like the profile but came up with “Action Failed: ... Please check you internet connection and try again”, even though my internet was fine. After restarting the app, that profile couldn’t be found again. I got suspicious, so I repeated the process of pausing my account and going to discover, put filters, and the profile came back, and repeated the same process, tried to like, same popup of “Action Failed... Internet” etc came up.

Previously when I matched with someone who seemed really good, we had problems with the messaging, until after the conversation expired, CMB said there was a problem with the messaging and gave some beans to make up for it. Now I realise this was deliberate so you don’t end up with someone you match well with.

It’s in their interest to keep you on the app as long as possible and to get you to pay. Their algorithm is definitely to show you as little as possible so you still stay on the app but don’t find someone so you keep going back. Even their ‘good reviews’ here are probably fake. Reality of the world these days. Don’t waste your time here.

No response from the support team

I downloaded this app a few days ago and half set up my profile with the two pictures I have of myself. I later got an email from the Coffee Meets Bagel support team saying my account had been flagged and that they needed to verify my account by sending a photo of myself holding up 3 fingers. I replied straight away with the photo. In response I got an email back that said the exact same thing the first email- that I needed to verify my account. I replied to the email and for the second time attached a photo of myself. It has been 4 days and I have still not had my account verified and meanwhile I am getting notifications from the app that people are liking my profile but I cannot login to the app or do anything about it.
I sent an email yesterday expressing my frustration and asking for them to delete my account if they weren’t going to unblock it.
I still have received no response, and I have no way of accessing my account to delete it.
