Hard to navigate

Along with other reviews I find the app hard to navigate with unnecessary options. If all you want is to long on and see where your hero’s are at, the app isn’t the best.

Hello 1337Davomate. Thanks for your message. You can follow the DAKAR in live thanks to the Race Center, by clicking on the “live” button as soon as the stage starts. It allows fans to follow in live each stage with timing at each KM points, gaps, rankings, maps with competitors positions or near live video content. Each fan can personalize his experience with his favorites. We hope it helps. The DAKAR team

2022 And App looking very poor

First day of event and iPad app not in good order bearing in mind it had an update just a week ago. Cannot enlarge map or watch tracking of competitors. Showing UTC time which is not actual time of Saudi Arabia which then doesn’t relate to news reports timing. Go into route, or stage profile links and cannot go back, have to crash app and start again. Surely these are the basics to get right. It looks like it’s going to be a long and frustrating time unfortunately for those trying to follow and support the event. Now trying to access app on phone and can’t even get past Terms and Conditions. Just absolutely hopeless. It gets worse - their App Support just takes you to their website with no links to Support. 🤷‍♂️ Nope new version 8.1.1, fixing bugs, and it still doesn’t work. Got the cookies question to appear but that’s about it but all your hangers on aren’t going to get any of our data. Do you actually have phones you test this on? And Support link still not working.

A week on and still no fix on the iPhone. Just stuck on the Terms and Conditions page. And yes I have uninstalled and installed - twice! Don’t even get the curtesy of a reply compared to another reviewer.

Not much use except for the main categories bikes quads cars and trucks

This app has not been improved in years and badly needs an update to cover all categories and classes.
It is easier to get the info you are looking for from other places of the internet.
The media releases only partly cover the races because they are less than 30 minutes per day.
Dakar race management need to update themselves, the app and the media coverage if the rally is to continue to survive.
Billions of people are unable to get good coverage!
