Absolutely worth the download
This app is hands down the most efficient and easy to use when it comes to the behemoth of a task that is clearing out duplicate photos, videos, etc.
This software helped me handle 15 years worth of items (roughly 22,000 pictures and 500 GoPro videos); thinned down to just under 15,000 by finding not only duplicates, but similar composition photos so I could select the best of them and delete the rest. Even worked with Photos App by automatically creating a "duplicate" album within Photos from where I could delete the unwanted ones.
I would say that if you have a large amount of data and it is on an external drive, beware that your Mac should have an appropriate amount of processing hardware installed and to use a high transfer speed data cable to handle the load. (I am using M2 Macbook Air 13" and it worked splendidly smooth). There were a couple times when the color wheel on the cursor appeared but it didn't hang around for long.

Easy to use intuitive app that does the job
After realising I had got my mac into a bit of a mess with backups of backups and copies of copies, this app saved me hours of work wading through everything manually. It’s intuitive to use and probably does a lot more that I used it for. I did buy the pro version as I had so many duplicates it was much easier to use the delete by folder function than selecting files manually and it was worth every penny. I got ris of 50gb from my hard drive! It was a bit scary deleting hunderd of files but hopefully I did it right and haven’t lost any data!

After putting off the mammoth task of clearing pics and videos which were all over the place for years, I finally stumbled on this great piece of a software.
It is fast, reliable, easy-to-use and does a very good job of not only finding duplicates but also finding "similar" photos. You know how you take 5 different photos in kind of same pose/place/object, it gathers those together so that you can keep what you really like.
This is powerful and very helpful to find and remove unwanted duplicates/and similar items.
