Needs more detail in countries and cities included

This app provides useful information on the layout of countries and cities.

I think that more detail should be provided on specific countries. At present only a few major cities are shown for each country.

The add-on for political boundaries is handy put the picture add-on is of dubious value. Detaile information is linked ot Wikipedia but not with a good interface.

It would be better if this App was combined with Earth 3D - Altlas and if all the add-ins could be bundled at a reasonable price.

In summary, 4/5 Stars for app and 1/5 stars for the add-ins.

Good with some improvements desirable

Friends and onlookers are taken back when they first see it so it does have appealing aspect. It's also not too boring after having it on in the background a couple of months later.
Its not intending to be google earth so people should not expect this. It is a simulation with some added animation for entertainment purposes.

Would be good to be able to skip over the plain vast blue ocean bits and allow it to slow down when it reaches continents.
Also would be good to add overlays like country borders, big city names etc so we know what and where they are would be great (has good education potential).
Option to default to my city location and to have it pause there would also be great.
Lastly, add heaps more features to Interactive Mode eg a statistics tab when selecting a country of city... would be fantastic.
Heaps of potential really!

But as it is, its a reasonable screensaver with a dimensional twist.

It should be a real screensaver

This application is truly amazing, and watching it can be quite mesmerising as you gain a better appreciation of our planet. That being said it has a screensaver mode, which isn't a proper screensaver - can't be configured in the System Preferences Screen Saver panel, can't set it to require a password when stopped etc etc. The developers should have taken the extra time to make this final polish, because now the initial joy of ownership is over, the utility is severely lacking.
