Ratings and Reviews
The map loads slowly and inefficiently because they're seemingly loading all points even on a zoomed out map. The Google map doesn't even support the two finger zoom out. Then if you switch the phone off (not shut it down) or just switch to another app and bring it back forward the Entertainment app reloads the map. What a clumsy way to implement.
The developers tried to be fancy be creating their own styling, but at the cost of speed and snappiness. The app feels clumsy and inefficient. Lots of tapping to get information that could've been delivered better. The development was probably outsourced with little vendor management.
Rather than setting up Entertainment Book's own review system, the app would've also benefited from an integration with Yelp and others. People rate chain businesses in the Entertainment app because they don't have the ability to rate local shops. The Entertainment Book app even says "read member reviews" when in fact all you see is a rating.
A bit more care and knowledge of native iOS development would've done this app well. Invest more in your digital space and you'll get much better returns.

Waste of money
Absolutely rubbish. I didn’t end up using this a single time.
I bought the digital version thinking it would be more convenient for updating, finding local places and transacting, tried using it soon after purchase and the function to apply the discount wouldn’t recognise the location. The app kept logging me out, it was inconvenient having to reset my password each time.
There was supposed to be a linked account to get other discounts too, took ages to get the supposedly automated link connected and then it still didn’t recognise my account.
The choice of suitable participating venues out my way was really limited, too, a seperate issue I know, but combined with the app and general failure to deliver, this was not a venture I ever want to give money to again!
Hi Ploki, in regards to your review to did try contact us at all throughout the year to get any of this fixed? As all of these troubles can be fixed up quite easily on your device, and we would have been very happy to help you out. If the app can't find your location, then you need to turn your location services on. If the app was logging you out every time you opened it then you were probably not logging in correctly or your account wasn't set up properly. Linked accounts are just done so by logging in with their details on your own device, which may have been the cause of this as you may not have been logging in with the correct details
Good when it works
Good idea having the app rather than requiring to carry a book around. However. On an iPhone 6 iOS 10.3.2 the app won't allow me to select this phone to activate...
have been months unable to active this device and have relied on my partners device to use. He since got a different phone and can only have a max of 2 devices on the app... can't remove yourself and have to wait a couple of days for a response to have someone remove the devices as required
Still pending a solution to getting it to work on an iPhone however.....
