Bring your conversations to life with stickers.
Send photos privately.
Have group conversations and make plans on the go.
Text your phone contacts, even if you're not Facebook friends.
Share your location so people know when you're nearby.
Record voice messages.
Make free calls, even to friends in other countries.
Know when people have seen your messages.
See who's available on Messenger and who's active on Facebook.
Stay logged in so you never miss a message.

Terrible

Messenger Day is terrible. Now there's a bunch of wasted space in the middle of the conversation list where people's day would go, if anyone used it (they don't). So it just makes it harder to get to older conversations. I can't even refresh the conversation list (something I often need to do after wifi drops out) because swiping down opens the camera instead. I need to force quit just to refresh the list. And when I share photos with friends, the app always asks me if I want to put it on my day. Every. Single. Time. No, I don't, that's why I sent it to my friend(s) personally.

This app became popular because it used to offer no-frills messaging to Facebook friends, without all the noise associated with being on Facebook. Sadly it's turned into a cluttered app full of features that offer no value and make it harder to do the very thing it's supposed to be good at - a messaging app.

People just want a list of their conversations in chronological order. We don't want "online now", "shared days", "favourites", "birthdays", "suggested rooms/groups", or any other section awkwardly placed right in the middle of the conversation list. I remove these sections but they keep coming back. And "shared days" cannot be removed at all.

Very sad and disappointing. I don't understand why the team working on this app aren't paying attention to the reviews.

Terrible app now. Makes me not want to use it. A lot of 1 star reviews, listen to your users.

What have you done with the UI? It's awful. With the curved corners at the top, the stupid rectangles you can't get rid of and the giant camera button down the buttom, it's completely horrible. And it
looks horrible when you see it on the multitask screen. UGLY AS HELL.

I didn't think it was possible to screw up the UI even more, but congratulations Facebook, you've done it. With "Shared Days" right in the way of my conversations, I refuse to use it.

If I wanted to Snapchat, I'd use Snapchat. Nobody likes a pretender. I hope your attempt at being Snapchat backfires on you.

Get rid of it, we want the messaging app back. BECAUSE THAT'S WHY WE DOWNLOADED IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. Start by firing the morons who said "Making Messenger like Snapchat is a great idea"

The unique alert sound no longer works and hasn't for some time. Wish I could go back to a previous version. If they can't even get that right, then there's no hope for this app. I'd give a negative rating if I could. Edit: So you fixed the sound, good. Now fix the app so it's not Snapchat.

Very strange that you can't log out, needs search function.

It's a major deficit that you can't actually log out of this app. Had someone "switch accounts" and log in on my phone and I only later found there was no option to log back out so I was left receiving notifications for both accounts. (Unhelpful) Help Centre advice kindly even states "you can't log out of an account on messenger". Major oversight. Ended up deleting and redownloading the app to have the other account log out.

A proper search function to search through messages would be more beneficial than it's current function to just search through the friends list and random pages.
