Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Facebook doesn't run GPS in the background unless you give us permission by turning on optional features that require this.
What's New in Version 60.0
Thanks for using Facebook! To make our app better for you, we bring updates to the App Store regularly.
Every update of our Facebook app includes improvements for speed and reliability. As new features become available, we’ll highlight those for you in the app.
One Of The Best.
I have had Facebook now for several years, and throughout that time; I have had many experiences with Facebook.
When I compare the quality of the differences between the updates (whether it be an update after a few months, days or weeks), the quality and certain characteristics are increasingly better.
Throughout my years having Facebook, I have only had a few minor bugs with the app. Within days the bugs would be fixed and better yet, improved by a very helpful update.
If Facebook keep up the good work, I have no doubt or see no reason it won't stay the number 1 social media app in the world.
Current update needs assessing
Every time i open the app my news feed always shows the same posts, even after a day or two, doesnt load the most current posts from friends/groups and i find if you dont frequently visit a page/friends profile or like/comment on a post then it wont display posts from those friends/pages, make it so it displays everything and then option to cut things you dont want to see, sick of opening the app and seeing the same posts from up to 1-2 days ago at the top of my feed
Suggestion - and problem
My iPhone version of Facebook has a 'search' facility in groups - by that I mean that you can type a word that you're looking for in that group.
I've noticed the iPad view of Facebook doesn't seem to have a search facility and I would appreciate it if it was added.
I've tried even using the Safari view of Facebook to find words but that's not always successful
