How does it work?
Using the Family History App is simple. All you need to do is select the event type you wish to search, type in the name/s and year of birth, death or marriage and then select search. If you’re not sure of the exact year, you can type in a year range and the App will bring back matching results for events records in the New South Wales Registry's historical indexes. Once you have selected a specific record you can then purchase the certificate. When a selection is made you will be directed to the Registry’s secure website for the final purchase. The certificate will be posted to you. Postage is free!

Works as advised in the blurb, a quick way to do a search without going to the website. The comments from others that they can't find info suggest that they didn't read about the embargo periods for records. The only way to improve would be the ability to purchase certificates without leaving the app and going to the website.
Overall, well done !!
This app is identical to the NSWBDM site and gives the same results. Handy to have for quick access. First time users press the help button and READ the instructions before searching. It'll stop you from embarrassing yourself when you write a review claiming the app doesn't work.
Works perfectly. Easier than the website search. People should remember that only dates stipulated are allowed to be searched and sometimes name spellings changed over the years.
