Bug fixes and stability improvements
Have to agree with ‘most’ reviews, this app has a very limited application. My first reaction from people, is that no one wants to be ‘tracked’ so you’ll struggle to even find someone to follow…. there are much ‘better’ apps than this like ‘Glympse’… the other negative thing about this app, is that it’s slow and clunky… very rarely, does it give you an ‘actual’ tracking of someone… I’m using it right now, and the updates are really slow and lag’y…. I can’t imagine it will be around for much longer. Wouldn’t surprise me if Apple ditch this altogether…. It kinda works… you can see where someone is, if they stay still…. but tracking is pretty useless. The ‘notify me’ options don’t work well.
I got this app as my partner is a truck driver and frequently goes on trips up the coast/sometimes interstate for work & it's comforting to know where he is on his trips & he likes to know I feel comfort in knowing I know he's safe when I can see him moving. However this app frequently stops working/won't refresh.. The most messed up experience is when I checked the app, it updated where I knew he was and then suddenly randomly placed him in another area.. About 50kms away from where he actually was. The next day it fixed itself and put his dot back to where he really was.
Definitely needs fixing. When it works, it's great but when it doesn't. It's horrible.
This is one of the worst designed apps in terms of usability. The flow between screens and difficulty of refreshing friends' locations makes this a very, very frustrating app to use.
I use this almost daily and the one thing that drives me crazy is how hard it is to refresh my friends' locations. Why can't you give us a simple refresh button that reliably and *visibly* refreshes without us wondering what the app is doing?
