Introducing Fixed Fare. You’ll start to see more job requests with a Fixed Fare attached to them, with the fare you see on the screen being the fare you will receive, guaranteed.

We’ve redesigned Advance Bookings – with more glanceable, up-front information that is most important to you. Easily see the type of Advance Booking being offered, passenger trip notes, and receive clear and concise alerts regarding an accepted booking. We’ve also extended the confirmation window to ensure that you are always on time for your booking.

You can now send quick messages to a passenger with one tap when you’re en-route, such as "I’m about to arrive" or "I’m delayed in traffic".
Premium drivers can now opt-out of Economy jobs in the settings menu.

Abandoned Option

This is not right at all. If you have dedicated 24/7 Support Team, I’m very surprised that they took almost two weeks to respond to my query and even if you don’t accept the job, system sends you the same job again and again. Drivers contribute a lot in your business and this is not right to giving them a ‘bad experience’ name if they abandon the job on the top of $5 penalty fees within the first two minutes.

Their driver support is absolute pathetic in terms of response because they take forever to reply for your query. Being a driver, it gives you bad rating if you use ‘abandoned’ option. Even though, they charge you $5 penalty fees on the top of negative rating. A big fat “NO” for recommendation.

Hi Usman, thanks for contacting us. That doesn't sound right at all! We have a dedicated 24/7 Support Team to answer all of your questions.

If you accept and abandon a job, it leads to a bad experience for the passenger who will now not be picked up. If you think that you may be unable to fulfil a job, we recommend that you do not accept the job.

If you accept a job, you must head to the pickup address. If you cancel the trip within 5 minutes of waiting for the passenger at the pickup address, a $5 penalty fee will be charged. This is clearly stated in the driver app before cancelling. If you arrive at the pickup address and wait longer than 5 minutes and the passenger no-shows, you are able to cancel the trip without a $5 penalty fee.

Taxi fares have become too low

Ever since GoCatch has calculated the fare via the app rather than the taxi meter those fares are quite a lot less. Therefore after almost 3 years & over 250+ bookings I no longer use the GoCatch app during my shifts. Lower income in an already reduced market is more inline with Uber’s business philosophy than a true blue Aussie battler. I’m sad to be forced to take this course of action. I can ignore the back & forth emailing to get a simple yes or no question answered & not being able to call an actual person even though I’ve been called at 4.30am from Perth when I couldn’t make it to a pickup due to a flat tyre. But taking a few bucks out of my almost empty pocket is the last straw.

Notifications are annoying as hell

Im getting fed up with the constant ‘you are online’ notifications coming up everytime i switch between app, fix this issue, i just want notifications of the incoming jobs and advance booking nothing else. Please add option in notification sections to select and deselection what we want to be notified on.

I got in contact with support before writing a review and even sent in a screen shot of my notifications to show them the constant barrage and this is their response

Go to your iPhone’s Settings
Swipe down and tap on 'GoCatch'
Tap on 'Notifications'
Make sure all switches are turns off and are greyed out.

Please i want to make it clear i want to recieve incoming job alerts and advance bookings via notifications, i just dont want to be reminded i have the app running in the background 50 times a minute stating “i am online”

I am on the lastes iOS and latest gocatch driver version

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. When the GoCatch Driver app is running in the background, a notification will be sent to your device every 30 minutes to notify you that the GoCatch Driver app is active and online.

When you keep the GoCatch Driver app open in the foreground, these notifications will not be sent to your device. Keeping the app open in the foreground allows you to view and accept on-demand jobs and Advance Bookings as soon as they come through.

When you’re finished driving for the day, simply tap the Online/Offline button to go offline. You will no longer receive notifications in the background.
