Whatever you do don't update to or install this version
This app requires you to Login Into a GoPro account to access your camera. If you use your camera through your phone and your out of internet or mobile range, you know out using the HoPro for what it was designed for and what you bought it for, you are with this app locked out of your own camera. Dear GoPro. GoPro cameras are, as their name suggests, action cameras. That is they are used when out and about, yet you've chosen to do this bait and switch move and lock you customers out of their own cameras when they are using them for what you advertise them for. I guess your competitors love this news.
If I could give zero, I would. Because you get plenty* of wifi internet access in the remote Philippine mountains. Given you have to sign into the app to use it, it basically renders the camera useless when you have to set up in advance and are relying on the remote functions to start recording. Not to mention if you're using an older camera without a screen you're basically back in the good ol' days of aim and pray! GoPro, you guys just made it harder to do my job with your product. Next one won't be a GoPro, that's for sure!
*where plenty = zero
Requires log in - Worst idea ever
This app require the user to log in to be able to use it. Besides not being able to use it if you are out of reach of connection, I'm not even able to log in. If I use my GoPro account it says my password is wrong, even after updating it (and it works in the desktop app) if I try to log in with my Facebook account then it says "something went wrong".
Please, I urge you to remove this requirement ASAP!
