Can this app get any worse?

A really, REALLY bad app. I've used other news apps and they just work, every day and as they are intended to work. For some reason the fools that wrote this app think that it is ok to charge good money for an app that on any given day will crash, won't give you your newspaper until nearly lunchtime, or as I'm finding for about the past ten days or so, on each and every day I open it and go to read my newspaper (the one I'm paying them for!!) that I have to stuff around "transferring" my subscription to my "new" iPad (even though it's the same iPad each and every day that has been logged into the same iTunes account each and every day) . Some days this can be a ten second task, on others I just give up after two or three minutes.
The owners of this app should be ashamed of themselves, these issues have been ongoing. They ignore emailed queries (or just try to palm you off), how is it that so many other news apps have got it right and they remain such a 3rd rate app?? It baffles me! I've certainly had enough, no more renewing for me!

Another update - Another failure! Zero stars

Actually this app deserves minus stars - even no stars is too good. I have emailed the HeraldSun several times and even had a phone call from a consultant who said they were working on a new app that would solve all problems. I asked why they didn't dump it and start again, or even adopt the Courier Mail app, which is near faultless. The answer was they had invested too much in it.

The new app solves none of the old problems and presents the same rubbish. You can't read cartoons, ads or even some text and can't zoom without tapping first - which surprise surprise only works sometimes.

The HeraldSun needs to ditch this app and go back three upgrades until they can hire the correct I.T people to fix this shambles. They say they read the reviews and are concerned, but judging on past performance the really do not care about customers or performance. If every dissatisfied reader cancelled their subscription perhaps the $$$ would talk.

Absolute garbage

Major day in Australian politics and as usual paper won't download properly. I have been stuffing around on and off for nearly two hours and still can only get 21% of the paper I pay for. Turn Ipad on and off repeatedly, try and update paper, tell it not to update, tried every possible option but still no luck. I have been paying for this frustration for a year but no more. When will the people responsible for this disaster take notice of their reviews and fix this? Have given it one star because I have no choice, it doesn't deserve even one.
