Go with ubereats

Today we ordered a family meal from the KFC in Caulfield through Menulog at 3:27pm as we were hosting a function. We were advised the meal would arrive in 25 minutes. We receive a call from menulog at 3:50 pm advising us the order is running late and the restaurant needs an extra 10-15 minutes to prepare the order. At 4:20, we called menulog back to make a complaint about our ordered food that is yet to arrive. After speaking with your representative Suman for 23 minutes back and forth, she finally agreed to transfer us to higher management as per our request. We spoke with rob (who was lovely and helpful) and explained the situation. It’s now 4:50 pm and as I was on the phone to rob, who kindly offered us a refund, the courier had arrived with the meal. At this stage, half our guests have left. We went downstairs to pick up the food, and I apologise to the courier (bilal) for keeping him waiting as we were making a complaint. He interrogated us to find out what the complaint was about, to which we told him the order is an hour and a half late. His response “it’s not my fault, so I don’t care”, and walked off. Bad form. Never using menulog again. Will be spreading the word on all social media platforms, as well as too all my friends and family near and abroad. Menulog, you just lost a few customers to ubereats.

My food was delivered to the wrong address

I had my food delivered to the wrong address; the driver called me when he was down the street, I told him my house number and he said he was at a different number down the street. I could hear him through the phone speaking to someone, I told him he must be at the wrong address and he hung up on me. I then found out he delivered it to this person. I called him back and was told “there was nothing he could do, it’s just too bad as it’s been delivered now”. Absolutely disgusted that this is the service we pay for. I then spent 45 minutes on the phone with menu log trying to get it resolved. I was told I could be credited two vouches, one for $50 and one for $10 (my order total was $61). Unfortunately at checkout you can only redeem one voucher per order so again I’m out of pocket and inconvenienced some more just to add to all the frustration. Poor system. Definitely will not be ordering through menu log again. Absolutely appalled that something like this could happen and that there are no repercussions for these “independent” Menu log drivers, or the lovely person that happily claimed a free meal on my expense. Absolutely disgusting.

Menulog is great but minimum prices make me :(

I really love using Menulog, super easy way to order and compare prices from different restaurants. One criticism I have though is for the restaurants themselves, when I choose delivery a lot of restaurants have their minimum order set at 40 dollars. Now sometimes this is fine when I have friends over for dinner, but when it is just me....how am I supposed to get an order to 40 dollars?? Do I order two of everything and save it for tomorrow? Will I eat it tomorrow? Do I throw it away?? The idea of ordering food just to hit a minimum order quota ends up being so ridiculous that I usually go with the ‘riskier’ option that has less good reviews but lets me order what I want without having an existential crisis. Really love the app though! Gets used frequently as I am a lazy college student who doesn’t leave the house 👍🏼
