Very good ... but
I've used this for an annual flat water kayak race for 3 years and the maturing of the product and my skill make it work almost flawlessly now. However I have one big gripe that the developers refuse to budge on: you need to swipe to start a race - this is not precise enough and prone to miss-swiping. It should be a clear button press like the Record a Time button. We always have larger backup stopwatch timing differences than we should have due to this silly feature.
Excellent for MTB
Excellent for recording club events. We were able to set up a race template with riders in categories for weekly races. We can train a new timer in a minute or two and share the workload around. Ability to send results as a cvs very useful for posting results on our club website within minutes of the race being completed.
Kayak Club Race
used the race splitter today for a club race, I wanted to paddle so after setting up the entries I handed the iPad to the club handicapper who with a few minutes instructions ran and recorded a faultless race. The program handles endless entries and categorys as far as I can tell and its syncing with the website to display the results for free and emailing the results as a spreadsheet are neat. A couple of tweaks to the software will make it even better and more flexible. The support is also good as I emailed them with a couple of questions and got a reply the same day.
