More Features Please

Notifications please! It should be simple to set notifications from the app, like a pop up to notify us of pay being received or similar transactions that we can individually customise. This is a good app & in the past it has introduced new features before most other banks (e.g. Apple Pay, changing pin, etc) however now it’s behind other banks in some features, like CommBank, StGeorge & NAB have the ability to set notifications, many can access statements within the app without going to the website, CommBank even allows some bills to be synced with the account, so you can be notified of, view & pay your electric bill thru the app before the company even sends you an electronic statement! Meanwhile the basic layout of this app hasn’t changed in years, it’s a little clumsy in my opinion & although simplicity makes it easy to use for basic functions, it also makes less frequently used features hard to find. This app is good, but it could be so much better!

Reliable 💪 ❤️ - Ideas for extras 🤞

Used this app for years now and unlike many others it just seems to work and provides useful functionality and a pretty good interface. What I would like most though in any type of banking app is the ability to add a note and check-off items. As a process, I check receipts against the bank statement, often this enough and I just want to check them off before I throw the receipt away. In the app this could be a check box or it could simply be the line could be highlighted - back ground or font a different colour. Wouldn't want to be able to check or uncheck by accident when scrolling though. The other thing, is sometimes the transaction doesn't provide useful information, like the name of the company is bot the well known trading name. It would be nice to associate a trading name to these places. Lastly, and in the same vain - it would be good to add a note to a transaction to aid in remembering what it was for. A picture of the receipt would be another method. Keep up the great work ING (and the developer!) been really happy with banking life since I swapped over. 👍

Update : Feb/Mar24 - frigging annoying details check failed because 'PO Box' is not 'P.o. Box' - Grrr, especially when that is how the auto-populate returns the address!!!

Ace app - minor recommendations

Great app, I’ve never had any issues with it whatsoever. Very easy to navigate and manage on the go. I’m renown for transferring money to my spending account on the spot, at the cash register while the machine is already waiting for my payment and it’s been perfect every time. The only suggestions I could make would be to have a notification function for when you have been paid by someone. Can be a bit painful on payday having to go in and manually open/reload the app over and over again to check. A little push notification would be very helpful. Further, the login pop-up when re-opening the app can be painful if you didn’t correctly log out the last time you used it (we logged you out while you were away). I think it’s a bit of a given that if you leave the app it would log out. It can waste that extra second when trying to access your money quickly - would be easier without the pop-up. Little things I know but I feel it would make my experience a lot better. Overall, love your work ING!!!
