Ratings and Reviews
The most ubiquitous compression tool out there!
This tool is absolutely amazing, it may not be as beautifully designed as the competition but it delivers way more functionality than the competitors at an amazing price. I hope some day, we will get a finder type interface to be able to browse archives without having to open them.
I had been using a mainstream archiver for many years (decades if you include OS versions of it) and although a great app, is limited in support for compression standards. I ended up with a few compression tools on my Mac to support all the archives that I work with. When I dicovered Keka and after a few months, I was able to delete all my other compression tools and rely solely on this app.
Amazing review! I'm glad to hear you can fulfil all your needs with Keka 😃🎉
I purchased this to create a split archive (50MB each piece). Worked like a champ! Thank you for selling this on the Mac App Store!
Thank you for using Keka!
Simple, elegant and user-friendly
This is definitely a great front-end to the compression tools built into Mac OS X. Sure, you could use these from the command line, but hey, come on, doing it from a simple little app is so much faster and easier, especially if you’re making lots of archives and just want a simple drag-and-drop solution. Well, this is it. I love this app! It’s got just enough features without being over-complicated. It seems to focus on ease-of-use and letting you do what you have to do in the least number of steps. I’ve found the archives to be compatible with other systems i’ve transfered them to, such as microsoft windows. Thanks!
