Ratings and Reviews
The one thing
It seems to me - as someone who uses this product for a living - that you can either get that this is the best way to make slides or not. If not, then either you've not yet had a chance to use it or PowerPoint will continue to suffice and you'll never know the difference. But once you realise that you want to polish and improve your presentations there is literally nothing else that will substitute for Keynote. It's clean, efficient, helpful, and beautiful. It is, in short, the perfect tool for the job.
Need a cut down version to load on USB stick with presentation
I love keynote but unfortunately, all too often when doing presentations, the presentation organisers don’t use Mac or you have to load your presentation on their system. So even if I bring my Mac with me and all the possible connectors to ensure my presentation works it is not enough…There have been occasions when I had to quickly convert to PowerPoint and I end up losing all the transition effects that are so important in telling a story.
Apple… Is it possible to create a cut down version of keynote that can be loaded on a USB stick with my presentation so I can plug and play and not have to worry about connecting up my computer or using the ancient software of other people’s computers?
Never looked back
About 12 years ago I was in the situation where I had to move across to using Apple software like Keynote as we couldn't afford the other product. I never looked back from there on as Keynote is the best at producing presentations. I have sometimes gone back to the other but always end up opening those presentations in Keynote to finish and change the work in them. Best bit then is you can save as the other and it is exactly the same.
