Shuffle
Not being able to turn off shuffle is a pain in the @&$.
Back to the built in iPhone app. Can anybody truely not come up with a better playback app than that rubbish from apple? Just copy their older versions!
A Fresh Take
This is certainly an interesting app. It's a very fresh take on the tried and true IOS music app, and certainly has a lot of excellent features, but not without its pitfalls. The user interface is clean and is quite attractive, but is not quite what I'd define as intuitive. The circular album art, while attractive, is not as efficient as the built in music app, (except on larger screens) and lacks search capabilities, an essential for those with large music libraries. Where this app really shines, is its simplicity. While it is counterintuitive to start with, and certainly needs a few minutes of playing round with before you get the hang of it, it's a quick and easy way to play your music. The use of simple gestures allows you to use it during workouts, and I found it particularly useful in the car, where the large font and excellent use of colours makes it easy to change songs or playlists. It also helpfully ports all your music and playlists from your standard music library. While there is no support for services such as Spotify or Apple Music, there is an online radio service, which starts at $5 a month, which is a good deal when it comes to decent online radio. While you sacrifice on-demand music, the range of stations is huge, and you're sure to find something to interest you, everything from the 80's to K-pop. All in all, this app is definitely worth a try. It's UI is definitely not for everyone, but has many advantages. Definitely worth a try, and definitely more than a pretty face.
