*Why Voicepaper 2?
Hi, I had been updating the original Voicepaper and Lisgo until iOS6 era, and since iOS7 came out, I couldn't update it because of iOS7 bugs technical reasons. Since then, I couldn't update it and stopped updating it because of tech, voice engine contracts, and cost reasons.
Since then, I'd been paying the Voice engine fees and only doing user support, but a lot of people still keep downloading Voicepaper and Lisgo even though they are old iOS6 eran apps.
in 2017, I decided to develop a new text to speech app from a scratch using a different voice engine for Voicepaper and Lisgo users by combining Pocket, Evernote and Dropbox supports.
Finally, in Sep 2017, I could release Voicepaper 2 just before iOS11 release.
It supports 25 languages with male and female voices without additional purchases, and you can edit pronunciations too.
Speaking of voice engine, if I use enhanced voices, I personally like it better than the previous Voicepaper and Lisgo ones.
Because the previous Voicepaper and Lisgo had one-time purchase payment, please understand that you need to pay again to use Voicepaper 2 so that I can keep it developing in the future.
Ratings and Reviews
Great app for tired eyes
I love news but I spend too much time looking at screens. This is just what I've been waiting for.
I am very time poor, this app lets me listen to the stories I want to read on the way to and from work.
Love it and hate it
I downloaded Lisgo for my iPhone and loved what the app offered; speed listening that worked. Because I loved it, I made the in app purchase of about $22au. Since my purchase, what I have realised is that if I start listening to an article and I then close Lisgo half way through the article, that Lisgo doesn't bookmark my place, nor am I able to fast forward to the place I was up to. I find this so frustrating that I have stopped using it. Also, for some reason, the titles of all my articles have all changed to "pocket.co," so when I select an article, I have no idea what I'm choosing. The in app support just lead me to a bunch of q&a's that were unhelpful. I'd love to rate this app 5 stars, which I would, if the above issues were fixed.
