Little MIDI Machine is an analog-style MIDI step sequencer app for CoreMIDI and/or the Line 6 MIDI Mobilizer interface. This app requires you have a CoreMIDI setup or own the hardware Line 6 Mobilizer MIDI interface hardware accessory for full functionality. With version 3 you can also use Little MIDI to sequence iOS synth apps that support CoreMIDI and background audio!
Little MIDI Machine gives you the step sequencing power of a hardware analog sequencer on your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch! Program two independent sequencers that send note and velocity MIDI data out on two MIDI channels to control your hardware synthesizers. LittleMM includes many of your favorite hardware sequencer features such as mute and un-mute notes, skip steps, reverse the sequencer, adjustable clock speed, etc. If you do not have a compatible synth app, a CoreMIDI hardware setup, or a MIDI Mobilizer setup, LittleMidi can generate very basic melodic sounds in place of sending MIDI. This will let you play around with the app and try it out, but it is not a feature that will be developed further and is not the primary purpose of the app. LittleMM is intended to be a MIDI sequencer driving other apps or external MIDI hardware. Check out the info page to see some great apps we recommend using with Little MIDI!

Misc bug fixes and improvements
A great little sequencer. Enough really useful features for variation & on the fly experimentation to make it a really useful tool for generating ideas.
It's also a great lesson for how to write an iOS app that works properly with midi! i.e. the options for routing, sync etc are all present & easy to access. So it works well whether you are driving an app on the same device (like Bassline) or an external via core midi - or at the same time etc.
I wish some other app devs (hello Akai) would take a look at this - or better still, hire our man here.
This app is just so incredibly handy! So far I've been able to sequence multiple apps at once, which is great! It works very well with Animoog and other synth apps. Can't wait to try and hook up something with midi on it! Hope I can sequence a real synth with it!
Forget my previous minor crit
You can just record notes in from a keyboard. It even take a cluster of chord notes and maps them over the steps.
