Epic orders from history #1: In 46BC, Julius Caesar ordered two extra days be added to August. Changing it up from 29 to 31 days was just one fix he made to the wonky Roman calendar year that until then had no fixed length. This update makes it easier for you to place your own epic order by showing you when restaurants will be busiest, letting you beat the rush and get your order in ahead of the rest.

We’ve also fixed a small bug that was causing the Menulog help centre to not display correctly on iPhone X.

New updates have effected business negatively

Being a restaurant partner I would like to say that firstly my restaurant does not open on your new app. Tried it a million times, uninstalled and reinstalled it too.
Spoke to Menulog customer care 3 weeks ago multiple times and nothing.

Secondly, the customer loyalty program was a beautiful way of rewarding regular loyal customers but you took that off and instead jacked up the prices for sponsorship where restaurants are paying 20%-30% to stay on top of your listings otherwise they are put low in your search ratings.

Top placement is a failure and again is costing restaurants more than what you pay for a franchisee royalty fees. Your commission has gone up almost 50% in the last year alone.
The app since updated has just a horrible user interface. Very slow, not user friendly at all.

The reason restaurant partners are still with Menulog because they are having a monopoly in this field and no one can do anything about it because people order even if their ratings are so low.

Unfortunately you guys are taking complete advantage of your position and charging restaurants at an average of more than $1500/month. This is called exploitation. This is how the restaurants trying to have a fair go and do the right thing are treated.

Customers please call your restaurant directly and eliminate such agents from the middle. They just make the prices go higher, for the restaurant and yourself.
Shameful business ethics.

Sorry to hear you are having a negative experience with Menulog. All restaurants are live on the new apps and website so you shouldn't be having an issue here - could you please email your restaurant name and issue below to enquiries@menulog.com.au and we will investigate immediately for you?

As you know, Menulog has a flat commission of 14%, which has not increased in the last year. We have worked with our valued restaurant partners over the past twelve years to ensure we have a fair and reasonable cost for local businesses, many of whom do not have the resource to facilitate online orders.

Furthermore, we have no lock in contracts or exit fees and our menu prices for customers are always the same as what you would pay if ordering from the restaurant directly.

We'd be more than happy to discuss this with you, along with any other issues you have.

Update is lowsy in every way

I have been with Menulog since 2014 and have always loved it and bragged about it to friends & family. I used it pretty much once a week and even used it away on holidays in different cities. I was even super lucky enough to win an iphone (for my dad) in the “Dishes get Wishes” competition for chrissy 2015.

Along with the user friendly app you had “1st order discounts” and we were always excited to rack up as many meals we could for our 10th meal free at our favourite Thai restaurant (which we managed to get twice, thank you) — and we were one meal away from getting a free order from Pizza Capers and then there was an update and that bonus was gone you just took it away with not as much as an email or push notification to warn about the big update.

**But forget the discounts you have slowwwed down the app (very frustrating) kind of takes away the purpose of easy no fuss ordering for dinner —> and the UI is useless and works only half the time
• the option to filter open restaurants or delivery only has disappeared
• the reorder previous meals is gone (loved that)
• the delivery option disappears and reappears
• you have to log in each time (it doesn’t remember you)
• you cannot increase the quantity of an item simply without having to order the item all over again
• getting stuck on loading is ridiculous

You’ve changed Menulog. Sad ☹️

App gets worse and worse

Menulog, I love ordering food without having to talk to someone on the phone. Truly. But you are constantly rebuilding your app and it is never an improvement. The latest version gets the spinning wheel of death frequently and it needs to be force quit and logged back in to to work. It shouldn't take so long to load plain text. And little details, like the fact that an apartment number is an 'optional' detail when you order (not really, if you don't want your neighbours to get your food) so I have to remember to manually add it in to my address. Please stop trying to add flashy animations and features and just create an app that works, every time. You have more competitors now than when you started and you can't afford for your main platform to be so frustrating to use. Every time I ask myself if it is worth the hassle and if I shouldn't just order through a different app.
