What's New in Version 2.16.2

2.16.2: Fixed customer reported crash affecting pages containing asian typefaces not installed on device.

MULTITASKING: Do we do it on iOS 9?  Of course. On iPad Air 2 and the upcoming iPad Pro you will be able to do split view and run 2 apps at once. On most newer iPads you can do slide over to quickly take notes.

SPOTLIGHT SUPPORT: We've added support for Spotlight to OneNote on iOS9. Pop open search and start typing to find everything from your latest to-dos to notes on the Hawley-Smoot Tariff Act.

ARABIC & HEBREW UI: OneNote now supports UI mirroring for iOS9 so it's not just the text that's in the right direction.

iOS HANDOFF: Grand plan for your Day Off just too big to fit your iPhone's screen? OneNote now has Handoff for iOS, letting you continue working right where you left off on the iPad. When you're ready to hit the road, hand-it-off the other way.

BY POPULAR REQUEST: Big fan of the right-handed Page List? This news should help restore your pluck. You can now choose which side it's on in Settings.

FIXED: The Camera viewfinder would occasionally be positioned incorrectly, off-screen. Now? On-screen. Progress!

FIXED: Customers reported having to sign in over and over when trying to create new notebooks on OneDrive. Bug Zapped.

FIXED: Customers reporting being prompted to activate more than once, no longer.

FIXED: We had an issue with font spacing that many typography nerds found impossible to ignore, everything should be back to normal now.

PAGE PREVIEWS GO ON A DIET: A number of users wanted to disable page previews. We listened. Same great notes, 50% less vertical space.

Customer Reviews

Useful multi-platform productivity app. Needs iPad functionality on iPhone

Multi platform note taking app which allows useful formatting via iPad and Mac/PC apps to suit most requirements. Only 3 stars because the iPhone app is unnecessarily limited considering the screen size available for iPhone 6 and 6 plus users.
Missing features which are present in other versions include: drawing options, simple formatting such as "styles", time/date stamp (for follow up entries within a note), text colour etc.
Some of these features are now available even in the basic "notes" app from iOS.
It would be much more useful for rapid note taking with these features added in for the larger screened iPhones. Still good to have it available to keep notes synchronised cross-platform

Upgraded to lose features!

Bad bad bad! The sync all button is not there. I work on multiple books during uni and the sync function is very slow this new app is very very slow compared to the retired app. All the retired app needed was a button that allowed ruled lines to be inserted. Instead I had to download this whole new app and since yesterday it has been syncing yet can't open any notebook yet. And the sync all button is not there to speed things up! Would give the app zero for useless but can't. Waste of time so close to uni exams! I hate you Microsoft am moving to Apple! At least don't have to deal with windows 10 and onenote and now it is crashing the whole iPad and refusing to sync! joy!

Everyday application

I use OneNote everyday, at work, at home, and when I am out. I have it on my iPhone, my iPad, my Mac Book, my desktop computer and work computer. I have seamless syncing across all my devices and have shared books with colleagues and family. I love it, I'd be lost with out it. I take notes for everything, add photos, makes lists, anything is possible!
