A Novel Innovation... The SPOKEN WORD


I have recently upgraded to Epic Data 35GB. There was confusion as to whether my Direct from a bank I use would continue to pay the account. I was being steered to the self recharge option. Fed up and not knowing quite how to address the matter today I entered an OPTUS shop front and asked could I be given a phone # to talk to another human to help solve my problem. After drawing a few stick figures of a human and various hand signals, I got a # [# = number]
I rang the #. Multiple recorded possibilities, and then the ‘chat room’. This communication takes us back to the schoolroom notes we’d sneak to a friend during a lesson. All I wanted to say was. ‘I want to continue paying the A/c by direct debit. I do however want to change the Banking facility to another Bank could you assist me to do this?’ Twenty minutes of syber hieroglyphics were tapped out and a change of personnel. Finally I was told I must do it all on line. I stumbled thru the hoops I was to jump thru, till finding this... IT SEEMS THE PAGE YOUR LOOKING FOR HAS MOVED. I found another page and it. showed this...SET UP, CHANGE OR CANCEL DIRECT DEBIT.
After the headline, it turns out there’re changing the billing.
Only continue if your A/c starts with 8-9- 10. Mine was a 6️⃣
But this is the irony... Their BUSINESS IS the cutting edge technology... providing a platform for millions of people to SPEAK🗣 to each other. WHY DON’T THEY DO THIS!!


not yes but no !

I went into an optus shop and asked for the 12gb special only to be given an 8 go when I actually paid for a 12gb then they said they would fix it but it never happened it has now taken 4 different amounts in turn my phone got stolen my data ran out and I was left with nothing !
Not even an apology or an offer of a new phone or to stop the wrong contract and the correct it by giving me a new one due to there mistake .... not only has this happened a man walked into an optus store were my name was put onto a contract without my knowledge and then optus sent me his debt as this was a gift ?
I have now waited over nearly 4 years for this to be felt with and they still haven’t had the decency to correct this problem on top of all I am now being sent his data like dating sites and being charged for this !
Still waiting for this situation to be fixed which is now making me contact lawyers !
Why this company make it so hard just for something so simple like having a phone ! ?

Don’t change what doesn’t need to be changed!!


So I have been with Optus for about 5 years and when I got the ‘my Optus app’, I was finally like “yes, now I can just set up at prepaid auto-recharge for $40 and that’s that. But no since the last couple of updates, I can now: 1) no longer get into the app because it comes up with a sorry you must not have a Optus sim... and so on error thing, 2) had my auto charge cancelled although was connected to the internet (a Telstra wifi internet, no that that should matter because that’s what I have been using for the whole time I have had this app), 3) when I turn off my wifi and use my own data to login to the app, it sends me a 4-digit pin to my OPTUS MOBILE NUMBER and yet still says that I don’t have a Optus sim... and so on.
I have never ever had this problem up until the last couple updates (and I have even uninstalled and then reinstalled it but nothing worked). It’s just ridiculously annoying and just not worth downloading again.
