myTuner Radio Australia AM, FM 4+

I really like this app, I have it on my phone and on my computer so I can listen to any radio station I like wherever I am. We don’t get FM radio where we live, so it’s great to be able to have a wide range of options through this app. I can listen to all my favourite shows, from breakfast radio in Sydney, to drive home shows from Adelaide and everything in between. Sometimes I like to tune in to segments and topics I care about on our local channels, which I can get through the myTuner Radio app as well. Ticks all the boxes for me!

Without a doubt this seems to be the most complete directory/list of streaming radio out there, which is fantastic. However, the UI is a bit clumsy, the menu-bar jumps around a fair bit, and, sadly, a lot of stations won’t let you listen to them if you are outside of certain geographic regions. This isn’t the fault of myTuner, but it can lead to a frustrating experience. You probably won’t find a better app for macOS or iOS that has the streams indexed thoroughly as myTuner, but I’d definitely be more inclined to pay for the Pro version if the UI was a bit smoother and it was easier to organise and find new music — but if you know what you want, and where it is “broadcasting” from, this is the app for you.

App works great, I would recommend. Sits in the menu bar for easy access and is simple to use, as you would expect. Pretty much all I need for streaming radio from all over the planet. My only gripe if any would be the regularity of the prompt asking, would like to upgrade to the pro version, not sure what more I would need that would be included in the Pro version, except stopping the prompts! … Get this app for free and Enjoy!
