Not using anymore

I have decided to not use numbers anymore. I will be using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. If the application INSISTS that I update to use it then it is USELESS right?! If I am not quite ready to update, then the app doesn’t work leaving me without a usable application… and so Numbers does NOT have my support anymore. I will update when I’m good and ready - and when I’m satisfied that enough bugs have been ironed out. I really HATE it when apps are “updated” and apparently “Improved” yet so many previous functions have been removed. How exactly is that an improvement? And who decides these are improvements? This KEEPS ON HAPPENING with Apple apps across the board and it’s annoying the !@#$ out of me. GOODBYE NUMBERS I will NEVER MISS YOU….. AND I WILL NEVER HAVE TO UPDATE YOU AGAIN BECAUSE I’M NOT USING YOU!

Spreadsheets are never the best to begin with

Hugh Gaskins

TLDR; Decent enough spreadsheet application and worth giving a go.

Numbers, like a lot of spreadsheet based software, gets a lot of guff. While there is the occiasional nuiance that takes a bit longer to set up, the bulk of the app is very fast and bug free. The iCloud syncing works quite well and it opens spreadsheets from other applications without issue most of the time.

I use Numbers quite a lot when I bill my clients as I have a pretty decent invoicing template setup with it, and have not ever had any major issues.

Disappointing Previous version ’09 - v 2.03 is far superior

Bazza McKenzie

I was going to give this 1 stars but I’ve decdided to give it 2 stars as I still persist with this
Apple - what are you doing - dumbing down your software - PLEASE LIFT YOUR GAME - I loved Numbers ’09 v 2.03 - your current version no longer has a floating palette
The formula editor is now a tiny floating field which disappears as soon as you hit return - Where is the large formula editor which I could resize
This is terrible for larger complex models
I do love the way you can have multple spreadsheets on the one page
It would be great if we could have the formula editor back and some form of tracing of precedents like Excel so you can step through whats happening
Could be a far superior product if Apple put more resources into this product

I still want to use Numbers - Just as much as I use Excel - Please Apple put some resources into your software - this could be better than Excel.
