Lacks option to favourite events

The app is super good in nearly all aspects except for the fact that it lacks the option to “favourite” particular events that you are interested in, and having them all in one spot. This would be so much more helpful, as opposed to scrolling through the endless events everyday (as it it is too difficult to remember which ones are of interest) and save you missing them.

Cumbersome lack of filter by multiple events and athletes

Please can you add the ability to filter the schedule by multiple sports, not just one at a time. We should be able to look at a schedule of all our favourite sports. Currently we can only filter by one sport at a time. So to see if sports we want to see are coming up we either have to scroll through the entire schedule, passing over all the sports we have no interest in, or filter by each sport we want to see (there’s more than 8 of them in my case) individually and then scroll through the schedule each time. Two more improvements would be being able to select multiple favourite countries (what happened to the Olympic spirit of unity and togetherness? We’re not all mono-country supporters) and to select favourite athletes. Additionally to filter the schedule for multiple favourite athletes would be great.

Disappointing, missed opportunities

This could have been much better, especially since it’s been five years since the last Summer Olympics and they had plenty of time to build a better app.

The apps for London 2012, Rio 2016 and the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games were all much better.

Missing from this app are:

Ability to use in landscape mode (utterly ridiculous!)
Limit of eight favourites in each of the Main and Paralympic streams
No ability to favourite individual events
No personal scheduler or ability to export calendar items of events
Time zone conversion (must have for a global event)
No information on individual events
No information on competitors
Very little personalisation possible

Some info might get added closer to the start of the games but the architecture just doesn’t seem to be there to accommodate it.

The whole app is superficial and limited, more like a glossy promotional program than an app designed for people wanting an enriched experience as they watch from around the world.
