Ratings and Reviews
I was slow to move to Optus when they first secured the EPL, but have never looked back since. The online service that Optus provides for the EPL, champions league, international games etc is quite simply AMAZING, both with choice of games and quality.
The app has never let me down, the choice from highlights, to interviews, to mini matches to shows is staggering. As a soccer/football fan it is a MUST have.
To compare Optus with Foxtel in football terms would be like comparing Man City with Atkinson Stanley, who are they? Exactly! Optus is in a league of its own and is infinitely better then Foxtel. If you still haven’t made the change then you’re seriously missing out.
Way better than Foxtel
The app is fantastic. The ability to watch games that have already started by going back 3 hours is great and for someone who can’t always get up to watch live it is perfect. The mini matches is a great addition as it gives you a good 20 minute snapshot of the game.
The World Cup disaster for Optus has been forgiven. The Optus coverage is now way better than the Foxtel coverage. Especially with Foxtel still using the same interface for users that they did in the 90’s
The only issues.
Very good app, runs well, great content.
However can be a little buggy when casting/screen mirroring. Often drops out, especially if you are doing other things on your phone at the same time.
My biggest hatred of anything with this app though is that to watch a match on replay you have to go to the results screen, and unless you have your hand in the right place to cover the screen, you can’t avoid seeing the scores. Massive flaw in my opinion, definitely needs fixing.
