Über pack is worth every cent
Best $6 I've spent in a long time. For the cost of renting a movie, I've gotten weeks of furious strategy gaming enjoyment, and there is no sign of my addiction waning yet. Gotta climb to the top league! Try it free but if you enjoy it, buy it. Being turn based, you do need more than the free limit of 5 games or you will get really frustrated waiting for your turn. I bought the uber-pack. Gives you 3 teams with different special skills and up to 20 games at a time, with future new team releases included free. Having 15ish games running means I can play whenever I want as it will always be my turn on at least a few games. A fourth team is being released next week, and I'll get that for free - the anticipation! Outwitters is perfect whether I have a dead 5 minutes, or a free hour. Just love it, love it, love it.
Fantastic game but one balance issue...
I don't usually write reviews but I had to for the game because I love it so much and it's definitely worth getting. There's just one trend I'm starting to think may be a balance issue and not the way I've been playing the game. So far I've found I win almost 100% of matches where I move first, where as I find it extremely difficult to win when playing second; I feel I'm always trying to catch up to my opponent (which makes sense because they're basically one move ahead of me). Is anyone else noticing this? One way to fix it would be to perhaps give the player who moves 2nd one or two extra wit on their first move. Please look into this because I absolutely adore this game but this is really bothering me!
Absolutely love this game, it is brilliant. I have had many hours of fun playing this game.
My only gripe is when people do not play their shot when it is their turn because they are losing and expect you to give up so they win. I now have many games in this situation in which I refuse to give up out of principal and let these jerks win. As a result they are taking up my game slots which are limited and can't play new games until these are complete. I ask as a solution to this problem that turns time out after a certain period of time so this does not occur resulting in a loss for that person trying to cheat. Please fix this as it brings down a really awesome game. Five stars once fixed.
