The OzHealth App is a condensed version of the thirteenth biennial health report of the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW). It is the most comprehensive and authoritative source of national statistics and information on the health of all Australians.

The OzHealth App provides statistics and fast facts on Australia’s population, life expectancy, births, deaths, international comparisons, population groups, diseases, injury, illicit drug use, tobacco, alcohol consumption, health promotion, organ donation, dietary recommendations, health and medical research, spending on medicines and health, and lifestyle factors that affect health including: physical activity, nutrition, and obesity. The App allows you to compile a list of your favourites for future reference. It also contains a glossary for your easy reference.

The App includes a set of ten multiple choice questions to test your knowledge, drawn from a bank of questions based on the statistics and information contained within the App. Each question contains a hint option which takes you to where the information is listed in the App.

The AIHW is a major national agency set up by the Australian Government under the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare Act to provide reliable, regular and relevant information and statistics on Australia's health and welfare.

Re-Nice try, but not working well by ijrej 30 Nov

From AIHW - the app you are downloading is the iPhone version. The iPad version will be available in the next week with all the functionality for an iPad (ie landscape mode and full screen size).

Thanks for taking the time to let us know! We are on to it. Glad you liked the idea and the content!!

Nice try, but not working well

I REALLY like the idea and the content but the implementation is a little poor. I tried it on an iPad1 and it crashes the system :-(

I tried it on an iPad3 and it works, sort of...

The product looks like it was written for an iPhone. It has that annoying small interface in the middle of the iPad screen, but they have made a simple concession (a button you click on to double the size of the interface). Clunky and barely passable.

I am a person who uses tablets almost exclusively in landscape mode (with a keyboard attached). The interface is stuck on portrait mode :-( Almost useless to me as I don't want the extra money on physio bills from a cricked neck.

Come on guys you can do better than this! AIHW has a fantastic story to tell and valuable information to share. Don't be afraid to fix this.

From AIHW - for some unknown reason, there has been a few loading issues with some devices. The developers are looking for a solution over the next few days. Please persevere and keep attempting to open the App, as it it will eventually load. The end product is worth it!
