Awesome
I'm an IT Security Professional and this is hands down the best parental control app I've seen.
It has helped us to create a framework for our son where he can sleep at night, while still being allowed to use essential apps. After one month he is a much improved son, much less moody and no longer late for - or tired in - school. A good nights sleep really make a difference.
Before this app I had to take his phone and/or SIM card as he found ways to circumvent the inbuilt Apple Screen Time (it's actually very easy to circumvent unfortunately).
It has also helped our younger daughter by blocking her apps on school mornings when it is time to get ready and dressed for school. No more arguing and/or forcing the iPad away from her on school mornings. Both my son and daughter have accepted it after only 2 days of getting used to it.
Tips for parents: Use it sensibly and NOT like a sick control freak - never use it in anger/frustration, but stick to a schedule/rules they know about. Talk to your kids about why they're getting it. Tell them why it's a big advantage to them. And make sure there are NO active restrictions when they're around friends, or they WILL be bullied hard!
Totally game changing. Totally regained parental control. Totally the most sensible money I'm spending for a long time!
Free version awesome with downfalls on premium
Downloaded the free version to stop my naughty niece from staying up all night, it’s awesome set it up on the iPad and can shut it down at a certain time each night. I use it in conjunction with old restriction setting. I upgraded to premium as I cannot delete the messaging app and she can still use this but so far I cannot get the utilities app on my MacBook to actually setup the iPad for further access of blocking. Got to 96% then disabled and had to reconnect the iPad now it’s stuck on restoring and I’m unable to get access. I found a “guided access” setting on the iPad which locks her into a specific app so that will work enough, downfall is you need the passcode to lock the iPad too so if at night in her room battery will die. Hoping I can get the utilities app working soon or I’m cancelling the subscription after the trial. Please fix, seriously it can’t take that long to install and setup?!? Other than that, the free app coupled with the restrictions works for most of the blocking and I can change even from my phone apart from the iMessage functions
Game changer
We have had this app on our Daughters phone for a while now and it is a game changer in our house. We no longer have to have the argument to take the phone or tell her to get off the phone it all happens on a schedule. If chores have not been done she is totally blocked until they are completed. I can manage apps on her phone and provide adult content protection. I can schedule access to the basics such as telephone, music educational apps to be available at all times and the extras when the time is appropriate. I have recommended this to so many parents. A must have if you have children.
