Pocket Brain is your premium medical education mobile reference tool. It assists the medical, nursing and health care practitioner learn clinically relevant anatomy of the human brain for examination, revision and patient education purposes.
The intuitive navigation enables the user to navigate through the protective meninges layers and sub-cortical structures into the ventricles with the ability to view each layer in 3D. Additional cross sections and nerve pathways have also been added.
Anatomical structures in each layer are pinned for identification and associated with each pin is additional concise relevant information including clinical notes.

Okay for first year neuroanatomy but not enough detail for anything else.
Beautiful App
Pocket Brain is a beautiful app that utilizes the retina screen on both the new iPad and the iPhone 4S (looks amazing on both). I love the detail they go into with the multiple layers, pins for everything and the ability to add in extra notes.
It's the extras they put into this that makes me enjoy playing with it, the additional brain cross sections and nerve pathways with moving arrows showing the direction of the impulses makes learning neuro anatomy quite interesting and much easier that any other resource i have used in the past. That and rotating the brain and seeing the separation between functional areas and brain blood supply areas, along with beautiful, vibrate color coding is a joy to look at.
My only wish is that like pocket musculoskeletal, I would like the ability to plan my own pins and choose the colour of the pins so as to customise my notes more on certain areas, though the pins are so comprehensive that I haven't felt I needed to add anything yet anyway.
Five Stars from me.
No worth enough for the value.
It might be a good app but it contains too little information compared to the money I paid. I want a refund.
